Supported Materials
Where the License Applies
The license applies to PDFs created with the following generators.
Chinese Worksheet Generator
Single characters, words, character sets, and blank practice sheets.
Available: your logo, custom field labels, grading feedback labels, page numbers, and QR codes. You can specify a custom QR destination for each material; if none is provided, the domain saved in your license profile is used.
Chinese to Pinyin
Worksheets with Chinese text and pinyin for reading and pronunciation practice.
Available: your logo, custom field labels, and page numbers. The visible Hanziway footer is removed. This layout does not use QR codes or grading feedback labels.
Lost Stroke
Exercises in which students identify the missing stroke.
Available: a custom-branded header, grading feedback labels, and page numbers. Branding is applied to both the exercise and the answer key.
Calligraphy
Coloring and calligraphy practice sheets.
Available: your branding and a separate “Show QR Code” option. When QR is enabled, it points to the domain saved in your license profile; if no domain is set, no QR code is shown.
Find Hanzi
Activities for finding and recognizing Chinese characters.
Available: a custom-branded header, grading feedback labels, and page numbers. The selected template and all its elements are retained on both the exercise and answer pages.
Memo
Cards for a matching-pairs game, plus a separate answer key.
Special behavior: the Hanziway logo is removed, but your logo is not added to the cut-out cards. Each card displays the domain saved in your license profile, or the line is left blank.
How QR Codes Work

On a blank worksheet generated in licensed mode, the QR code points to your domain; if no domain is set, the QR code is omitted. In Memo, the domain is printed as text rather than encoded as a QR code.

Keep Your Custom Text Concise
PDFs use fixed font sizes. Each custom label has a predefined space: text may wrap within that area, but the document will not reflow and the font size will not shrink.
Choose concise labels that fit the worksheet layout, such as “Name,” “Date,” “Score,” “Excellent!,” “Good!,” and “Try Again!”
What the License Does Not Include
- online exercise modes and Tone Trainer—the license applies to PDF materials only;
- generator source code and permission to share account access with third parties.
