HSK 7–9 — Advanced Levels of the New HSK 3.0

HSK 7–9 form the Advanced Stage in the HSK 3.0 system, designed for learners with a deep academic or professional focus on Chinese language and literature.
These levels imply a significant vocabulary range (around 11,000 words) and high linguistic complexity. The exam is expected to assess listening, reading, writing, translation, and speaking skills.
HSK 7–9 are aimed at linguists, specialist professionals, and graduate students, covering advanced topics such as art, philosophy, science, and formal communication.
Although details about the exam format, vocabulary, and structure are still emerging, it's clear these levels represent a serious advance in language mastery. For learners targeting academic studies or CEFR C1+, they offer a meaningful milestone.
